Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using our services.

1. Agreement to Terms

By booking cleaning services with CleaningGTA ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), the client ("you" or "client") agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the client and CleaningGTA. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Services Provided

CleaningGTA provides residential and commercial cleaning services throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Our service offerings include regular house cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, Airbnb and vacation rental turnover cleaning, office and commercial facility cleaning, and specialty cleaning services. The specific scope of work for each appointment will be determined based on the service type selected and any additional instructions provided by the client at the time of booking.

3. Booking and Scheduling

All cleaning services must be booked in advance through our website, by telephone, or via email. Upon receiving a booking request, we will send a confirmation to the client via email or text message. The client is responsible for ensuring that either they or an authorized adult (18 years of age or older) is present at the property at the scheduled time, or that appropriate access instructions have been provided in advance.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

Cancellations made more than twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled appointment time will not incur any fees. Cancellations made less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled appointment will result in a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the quoted service price. In cases of no-show or same-day cancellation without prior notice, the full service fee may be charged. Rescheduling requests made at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance will be accommodated at no additional charge, subject to availability.

5. Pricing and Payment Terms

Service prices are quoted based on information provided by the client regarding the size and condition of the property. If the actual condition of the property differs significantly from the description provided, additional charges may apply, and the client will be notified before any extra work is performed. Payment is due upon completion of the cleaning service unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and electronic money transfer (e-transfer). Clients who subscribe to recurring weekly or bi-weekly service may be eligible for discounted rates.

6. Property Access

The client is responsible for providing safe and unobstructed access to the property at the scheduled appointment time. This includes ensuring that all pets are secured in a safe location during the cleaning service, providing any necessary alarm codes, keys, or access instructions, and notifying our team of any potential hazards or areas that should be avoided. If our cleaning team is unable to access the property at the scheduled time due to circumstances within the client's control, the applicable cancellation fee will be charged.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

We are committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services that meet our clients' expectations. If the client is not satisfied with any aspect of the cleaning performed, they must contact us within twenty-four (24) hours of service completion. Upon receiving such notification, we will arrange to return to the property and re-clean the areas of concern at no additional charge. Any re-cleaning service must be scheduled within forty-eight (48) hours of the original appointment.

8. Liability and Damage Claims

In the event that any damage occurs during the cleaning service, the client must report such damage to us within twenty-four (24) hours of the service date. All damage claims will be investigated promptly and handled in good faith. However, we cannot accept responsibility for damage to fragile, delicate, or valuable items that were not disclosed to us prior to the cleaning service, nor for damage resulting from pre-existing conditions such as loose fixtures, unstable furniture, or items in poor repair. We are not liable for stains or damage that cannot be remedied through standard cleaning methods, nor for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from our services.

9. Client Responsibilities

The client agrees to provide accurate and complete information about the property and cleaning requirements at the time of booking. The client shall ensure that the property provides a safe working environment for our cleaning staff. We recommend that clients secure all valuables, jewelry, cash, and sensitive personal items prior to the scheduled cleaning. The client should remove excessive clutter from surfaces and floors to enable effective cleaning. Our staff members are to be treated with courtesy and respect at all times.

10. Health and Safety

Clients should inform us of any allergies or chemical sensitivities affecting household members so that appropriate products may be used. While we use eco-friendly cleaning products as standard, we can accommodate requests for specific products if provided by the client. If any member of the household is suffering from a contagious illness, the client should contact us to reschedule the appointment to protect the health of our staff and other clients.

11. Privacy

All personal information collected from clients is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer client information to third parties for marketing purposes.

12. Modifications to Terms

CleaningGTA reserves the right to modify, amend, or update these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario.
